Human Language and Accessibility Technologies (HULAT)
The Human Language and Accessibility Technologies (HULAT) research group is part of the Computer Science Department at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M).
HULAT is a multidisciplinary research group composed of PhD researchers and professionals specialized in information technologies. Our work focuses on I+D+i projects related to Natural Language Processing (NLP), accessibility, information retrieval and extraction, question answering systems, usability, and user interface accessibility**.
Through this Hugging Face organization, we aim to centralize and share research resources developed within the group, including fine-tuned models, datasets, evaluation resources, checkpoints, collections, and tools related to NLP and accessibility-oriented technologies.
Accessibility and Usability
Accessibility: We develop methodologies to create accessible applications and services by integrating accessibility requirements into the software development process and user interfaces.
The group has also contributed to national standardization initiatives, including AENOR PNE 71362:2017, related to the quality of digital educational materials.
