# ModernBERT DISSAT Explainer (3-Class)
A fine-tuned ModernBERT model that explains **why** a user is dissatisfied, classifying into three categories: NEED_CLARIFICATION, WRONG_ANSWER, or WANT_DIFFERENT.
## Model Description
This is Stage 2 of a hierarchical dissatisfaction detection pipeline. After Stage 1 identifies a user as dissatisfied (DISSAT), this model explains the reason.
### Label Definitions
| Label | Description | Example |
|-------|-------------|---------|
| **NEED_CLARIFICATION** | Query is ambiguous, needs refinement | System shows options to refine search |
| **WRONG_ANSWER** | System response is incorrect | "No, I said 2 people not 3" |
| **WANT_DIFFERENT** | User wants alternative options | "What else do you have?" |
