Agent overwrite grader for Claude Code

When two coding agents work in one repository, the later edit can quietly undo the earlier one. This plugin reads your local git log and lists every file two sessions (two authors, or two branches) changed less than an hour apart: the edits most likely to have overwritten each other. Nothing leaves your machine; it needs only Python 3 and git.

Install

In Claude Code:

/plugin marketplace add https://huggingface.co/memento-team/claude-plugins.git
/plugin install agent-overwrite-grader@memento-team

Then run /grade-overwrites, or ask "did my agents overwrite each other this week?".

To stop it happening, install the file claim hook too:

/plugin install agent-file-claim@memento-team

A session's first write to a file claims it; another session's write to that file is refused with who holds it, so the agent works on another file or waits. The holder's next write renews the claim, its session end frees its files, an hour without a write frees them too. Nothing leaves your machine. python3 <plugin dir>/scripts/claims.py lists the files held and the writes refused.

Example

  3 src/auth/session.ts
     c11c653 claude-code on agent/auth, Oct 5 09:14, then 8 min later 83f4ab6 codex on agent/billing (3 such pairs)

Claude Code needs the .git ending to read the marketplace as a repository. The same grader runs in the browser at https://overflow.games/memento/grader/ and as pipx run agent-overwrite-grader.

memento Team gives each file one owner at a time across machines, so the next agent waits instead of overwriting: https://overflow.games/memento/?ref=claudeplugin
