I don't think this is normal behavior. I tested on a space running this model (https://huggingface.co/spaces/suayptalha/Chat-with-Bitnet-b1.58-2B-4T)

The model was probably not trained to have an identity it can use by default in the instruction tuning phase, so it defaults to "AI language model" data, which there is a lot of on the internet nowadays.
