ActionPiece: Rethinking Action Tokenization for Autoregressive Vision-Language-Action Models

Action tokenizers play a central role in autoregressive vision-language-action (VLA) models, determining both the targets for policy training and the executable commands recovered from predicted tokens. Their fidelity is commonly evaluated using pointwise reconstruction metrics such as mean squared error (MSE), yet small individual errors do not fully characterize how faithfully action adjustments across demonstrations are preserved. After compression, similar actions may still cluster around a representative motion, while the adjustments needed for different contexts are diminished, distorted, or even reversed. We introduce physical rank consistency (PRC) to measure how well tokenization preserves local physical distance rankings after reconstruction. Evaluating decoded actions provides a common reference across token vocabularies and decoder architectures, complementing pointwise accuracy with a measure of relational fidelity. We further present ActionPiece, which preserves physical action relationships through joint supervision of representation learning and quantization. Physical rank preservation supervises near-far ordering in encoder and quantized feature distances, while quantization regularization applies the same ordering to codeword assignment distributions. Both objectives augment reconstruction, producing discrete action tokens for standard autoregressive policy learning and execution through a frozen decoder. Under the same Qwen3-VL-4B policy training setup, ActionPiece achieves 94.8% on LIBERO and 68.8% on unseen LIBERO-Plus, with additional evaluations reaching 71.9% on SimplerEnv and 51.5% across VLA-Arena L0-L2. Component ablations show that the two objectives jointly improve PRC and policy success, demonstrating the value of physical relationship supervision for action tokenization.

DeepCache: Accelerating Diffusion Models for Free

Diffusion models have recently gained unprecedented attention in the field of image synthesis due to their remarkable generative capabilities. Notwithstanding their prowess, these models often incur substantial computational costs, primarily attributed to the sequential denoising process and cumbersome model size. Traditional methods for compressing diffusion models typically involve extensive retraining, presenting cost and feasibility challenges. In this paper, we introduce DeepCache, a novel training-free paradigm that accelerates diffusion models from the perspective of model architecture. DeepCache capitalizes on the inherent temporal redundancy observed in the sequential denoising steps of diffusion models, which caches and retrieves features across adjacent denoising stages, thereby curtailing redundant computations. Utilizing the property of the U-Net, we reuse the high-level features while updating the low-level features in a very cheap way. This innovative strategy, in turn, enables a speedup factor of 2.3times for Stable Diffusion v1.5 with only a 0.05 decline in CLIP Score, and 4.1times for LDM-4-G with a slight decrease of 0.22 in FID on ImageNet. Our experiments also demonstrate DeepCache's superiority over existing pruning and distillation methods that necessitate retraining and its compatibility with current sampling techniques. Furthermore, we find that under the same throughput, DeepCache effectively achieves comparable or even marginally improved results with DDIM or PLMS. DeepCritic: Deliberate Critique with Large Language Models

As Large Language Models (LLMs) are rapidly evolving, providing accurate feedback and scalable oversight on their outputs becomes an urgent and critical problem. Leveraging LLMs as critique models to achieve automated supervision is a promising solution. In this work, we focus on studying and enhancing the math critique ability of LLMs. Current LLM critics provide critiques that are too shallow and superficial on each step, leading to low judgment accuracy and struggling to offer sufficient feedback for the LLM generator to correct mistakes. To tackle this issue, we propose a novel and effective two-stage framework to develop LLM critics that are capable of deliberately critiquing on each reasoning step of math solutions. In the first stage, we utilize Qwen2.5-72B-Instruct to generate 4.5K long-form critiques as seed data for supervised fine-tuning. Each seed critique consists of deliberate step-wise critiques that includes multi-perspective verifications as well as in-depth critiques of initial critiques for each reasoning step. Then, we perform reinforcement learning on the fine-tuned model with either existing human-labeled data from PRM800K or our automatically annotated data obtained via Monte Carlo sampling-based correctness estimation, to further incentivize its critique ability. Our developed critique model built on Qwen2.5-7B-Instruct not only significantly outperforms existing LLM critics (including the same-sized DeepSeek-R1-distill models and GPT-4o) on various error identification benchmarks, but also more effectively helps the LLM generator refine erroneous steps through more detailed feedback.

DeepCode: Open Agentic Coding

Recent advances in large language models (LLMs) have given rise to powerful coding agents, making it possible for code assistants to evolve into code engineers. However, existing methods still face significant challenges in achieving high-fidelity document-to-codebase synthesis--such as scientific papers to code--primarily due to a fundamental conflict between information overload and the context bottlenecks of LLMs. In this work, we introduce DeepCode, a fully autonomous framework that fundamentally addresses this challenge through principled information-flow management. By treating repository synthesis as a channel optimization problem, DeepCode seamlessly orchestrates four information operations to maximize task-relevant signals under finite context budgets: source compression via blueprint distillation, structured indexing using stateful code memory, conditional knowledge injection via retrieval-augmented generation, and closed-loop error correction. Extensive evaluations on the PaperBench benchmark demonstrate that DeepCode achieves state-of-the-art performance, decisively outperforming leading commercial agents such as Cursor and Claude Code, and crucially, surpassing PhD-level human experts from top institutes on key reproduction metrics. By systematically transforming paper specifications into production-grade implementations comparable to human expert quality, this work establishes new foundations for autonomous scientific reproduction that can accelerate research evaluation and discovery.

DeepCRCEval: Revisiting the Evaluation of Code Review Comment Generation

Code review is a vital but demanding aspect of software development, generating significant interest in automating review comments. Traditional evaluation methods for these comments, primarily based on text similarity, face two major challenges: inconsistent reliability of human-authored comments in open-source projects and the weak correlation of text similarity with objectives like enhancing code quality and detecting defects. This study empirically analyzes benchmark comments using a novel set of criteria informed by prior research and developer interviews. We then similarly revisit the evaluation of existing methodologies. Our evaluation framework, DeepCRCEval, integrates human evaluators and Large Language Models (LLMs) for a comprehensive reassessment of current techniques based on the criteria set. Besides, we also introduce an innovative and efficient baseline, LLM-Reviewer, leveraging the few-shot learning capabilities of LLMs for a target-oriented comparison. Our research highlights the limitations of text similarity metrics, finding that less than 10% of benchmark comments are high quality for automation. In contrast, DeepCRCEval effectively distinguishes between high and low-quality comments, proving to be a more reliable evaluation mechanism. Incorporating LLM evaluators into DeepCRCEval significantly boosts efficiency, reducing time and cost by 88.78% and 90.32%, respectively. Furthermore, LLM-Reviewer demonstrates significant potential of focusing task real targets in comment generation.

DeepCORO-CLIP: A Multi-View Foundation Model for Comprehensive Coronary Angiography Video-Text Analysis and External Validation

Coronary angiography is the reference standard for evaluating coronary artery disease, yet visual interpretation remains variable between readers. Existing artificial intelligence methods typically analyze single frames or projections and focus mainly on stenosis, limiting comprehensive coronary assessment. We present DeepCORO-CLIP, a multi-view foundation model trained with video-text contrastive learning on 203,808 angiography videos from 28,117 patients across 32,473 studies at the Montreal Heart Institute and externally validated on 4,249 studies from the University of California, San Francisco. DeepCORO-CLIP integrates multiple projections with attention-based pooling for study-level assessment across diagnostic, prognostic, and disease progression tasks. For significant stenosis detection, the model achieved an AUROC of 0.888 internally and 0.89 on external validation. Mean absolute error against core laboratory quantitative coronary angiography was 13.6%, lower than clinical reports at 19.0%. The model also performed strongly for chronic total occlusion, intracoronary thrombus, and coronary calcification detection. Transfer learning enabled prediction of one-year major adverse cardiovascular events with AUROC 0.79 and estimation of left ventricular ejection fraction with mean absolute error 7.3%. Embeddings also captured disease progression across serial examinations. With a mean inference time of 4.2 seconds in hospital deployment, DeepCORO-CLIP provides a foundation for automated coronary angiography interpretation at the point of care. Code, sample data, model weights, and deployment infrastructure are publicly released.
