In this model I imagine I can see the reasoning 'up the temperature of random / improbable related thoughts' in an attempt to discover valid reasoning trails.

Is that a somewhat good description of what's happening?

Unfortunately this doesn't allow that strange emergent inductive reasoning to emerge that i seem to see in the qwen3 4b-2507 moels and the gemma3.
