Academic access for DeepSpot M?

#1
by SrikrishnanRameshbabu - opened

Hi team! Thanks so much for your great work on this model.

My initial access request for DeepSpot M was rejected, likely because I didn't provide enough detail. I am a Research Fellow at Dana-Farber/Harvard and Uro-Oncology Faculty at Amrita. We would love to use DeepSpot M in our lab's AI pipelines to analyze single-cell and spatial data for an ongoing prostate cancer clinical trial.

Would you be open to reconsidering my access for this non-commercial academic research? I'm happy to verify via my institutional email.
Thanks for your time!
Best,
Sri

Hi Sri, thank you for your interest in our study. You should have access now.

Dear DeepSpot Team,

Thank you for your outstanding work on the DeepSpot model.

I am writing to politely request a reconsideration of my access request for DeepSpot M, which was recently declined. I believe my initial request lacked the necessary specific context regarding our research aims.

I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Artificial Intelligence at Seoul National University. My research deeply aligns with your work, focusing on predicting gene expression from H&E pathology images and spatial transcriptomics using multi-modal foundation models.

We are currently preparing a manuscript for a major AI conference. Because DeepSpot M represents a highly significant advancement in this field, we strongly wish to include it as a primary state-of-the-art baseline in our comparative evaluations. Benchmarking our methodologies against your robust model is crucial for our experimental rigor.

I assure you that the model weights will be used strictly for non-commercial, academic benchmarking purposes, and your work will be properly cited in our resulting publications. I have requested access using my institutional email for verification.

Thank you for your time and for reconsidering my application.

Best regards,

Hyeongsub Kim
