Issue on the pronunciation of long vowels in Turkish models

Turkish models pronunce words like "zekâ" or "hitâp" with short a vowels whereas they should be pronounced with long vowels. This occurs regardless of whether the words are written with a or â, and the same issue also affects î and û.
Is this something fixable with training or is it an issue with espeak-ng or its configurations?
This looks like a problem with espeak-ng not coding the long vowels. If this was fixed in espeak-ng, it may still require retraining the Piper voices if they never saw examples of long vowels :/
