I've a question about what the best way of extracting the printed Arabic text? (not the hand-written one),
I've used Gemini flash and it gave above 97% accuracy, but I was wondering if there is an open-source model I can use for this purpose.
This depends on the font type. As for model sherif1313/Arabic-GLM-OCR-v2, it's excellent for this purpose. If you want a more specialized module for printed fonts, sherif1313/Arabic-Qwen3.5-OCR-v4 is also good.
