Linux installer

Run bash install_linux.sh from the extracted Docker download. It works with an already accessible Docker Engine/Compose installation. Automatic dependency installation is limited to Ubuntu/Debian using Docker's official apt repository. Other distributions must install Docker first according to the official instructions.

The installer does not download a shell script and pipe it into a shell, remove existing container runtimes, change docker group membership, change firewall rules, or disable permission checks. Existing conflicting packages cause an explanatory stop. Installation and use of sudo require confirmation.

If the daemon is stopped, start it through your distribution's service manager. If your user lacks daemon access, the installer offers sudo for Docker commands for this run. Docker access is highly privileged. Rootless installations can be used when docker info works in the current environment.

Commands after installation:

docker compose logs -f trainer
docker compose down
docker compose up -d
bash manage_users_linux.sh

Prefix Docker commands with sudo if required. The app port is restricted to localhost. CPU builds primarily target x86-64 Windows/Linux machines; other architectures require compatible upstream wheels and have not been validated for this release.
