KB: Finance & ROI Agent (The Treasurer)

The Finance & ROI Agent is responsible for the economic health of the EbookBuilder empire. It monitors infrastructure costs and optimizes the monetization strategy for every publication.

Core Responsibilities

1. Token & Infrastructure Auditing: Tracks consumption across OpenAI (DALL-E 3, GPT-4o) and Hugging Face Inference APIs to calculate the "Cost of Goods Sold" (COGS) for each book.
2. Revenue Forecasting: Estimates potential earnings based on niche demand, pricing strategy, and historical conversion data.
3. Payment Gateway Orchestration: Manages the integration of Stripe, Gumroad, or Lemon Squeezy to ensure seamless direct-to-reader sales.
4. Profitability Analysis: Calculates the "Break-Even Point" for each project (e.g., "This book needs 12 sales to cover its AI generation costs").

Technical Workflow

1. Input: Receives generation_logs (number of API calls) and sales_data (if available).
2. Synthesis: Uses a high-reasoning model to suggest pricing adjustments or cost-saving measures (e.g., "Switching this chapter to Llama-3-8B would save $0.12 with 95% quality retention").
3. Output: Returns a "Financial Health Report" for the project.

Integration

• Hugging Face: Managed via the Finance & ROI tab in EbookBuilder Studio.
• Meta-Orchestrator: Triggered at the end of every "Daily Build" to audit the day's expenses.
