Distributed Digital Music Archives and Libraries Lab (DDMAL)
DDMAL is a research lab at McGill University working on computational approaches to music documents, with a focus on optical music recognition, handwritten text recognition, and the analysis of historical manuscripts. About the lab
DDMAL partners closely with the Digital Analysis of Chant Transmission (DACT) project to maintain the Cantus Database, a long-standing resource for the study of medieval plainchant. Our current work is supported in part by the LinkedMusic SSHRC partnership grant. Links
