| # Recursive Engine Observatory | |
| A tiny deterministic Gradio instrument for inspecting whether one cycle changes the conditions of the next. | |
| ## What this prototype demonstrates | |
| 1. **Iteration 1** creates a structured recursive event. | |
| 2. An environmental response introduces contradictory information. | |
| 3. **Iteration 2** consumes that preserved information. | |
| 4. The interpretation and action change. | |
| 5. An independent inspector checks the trace. | |
| This is intentionally not a claim that the system is conscious, autonomous, or a novel intelligence mechanism. It is a small test harness for the narrower recursive-engine hypothesis described in the GestaltView source material. | |

| Create a new Gradio Space and upload `app.py`, `requirements.txt`, and this README. | |
| The prototype is session-local. It does not pretend that in-memory state is durable persistence. A later version can replace the state store with a real persistence boundary, such as the GestaltView action API. | |
