Consider using this type of model as navigation for the blind?

If you map the 360 depth data to sound (i.e. sine waves, amplitude/modulation based on depth value/edge detection, etc.), then make it positional, you can feed it into headphones and let it act as a live audio feed of all depth values around the user.

It could be a nice step forward for blind accessibility tech - imagine having all of the i/o and compute built into a single helmet/HMD.
