SMOLAGENT Data Removal Assistant

A simple AI agent designed to help users opt out of data brokers and remove personal information from the internet.

Overview

This tool helps you:

1. Identify where your personal information is being stored online
2. Generate a comprehensive opt-out plan
3. Automate removal requests where possible
4. Provide step-by-step instructions for manual removals
5. Track progress and monitor for information reappearance

Getting Started

Using the Hosted API

If you're using the hosted version on Hugging Face Spaces, you can interact with the agent through its API endpoints.

Local Installation

To run this agent locally:

1. Clone the repository
2. Install dependencies: pip install -r requirements.txt
3. Run the app: python app.py

API Endpoints

Set User Information

POST /set_user_info

Provide your personal information needed for opt-out requests.

Search for Online Presence

GET /search_presence

Search for your information across various data brokers.

Generate Opt-Out Plan

GET /generate_plan

Create a comprehensive plan for opting out of all identified data brokers.

Execute Automated Opt-Outs

POST /execute_opt_outs

Automatically submit opt-out requests to supported data brokers.

Get Manual Instructions

GET /manual_instructions

Get step-by-step instructions for data brokers that require manual opt-out.

Get Progress Report

GET /progress_report

View the current progress of your data removal process.

Save/Load State

POST /save_state
POST /load_state

Save and load the current state of the agent.

Limitations

• The current version supports a limited number of data brokers
• Automated removal is not available for all data brokers
• This tool cannot guarantee permanent removal of information
• Regular monitoring is recommended as information may reappear

Security & Privacy

This tool requires your personal information to function but is designed with privacy in mind:

• All data is processed locally
• No data is shared with third parties
• You can delete your data at any time
