| # MedInf-AI – Medical Informatics in Anesthesiology & Intensive Care | |
| MedInf-AI is a research group working at the interface of medical informatics, anesthesiology, and intensive care medicine. | |
| We design, implement, and evaluate digital systems that support clinicians with guideline-based decision support, machine learning models, and usable clinical interfaces. | |
| Our goal is to turn routine clinical data and evidence-based guidance into reliable, transparent, and clinically actionable tools for everyday care. | |
| ## Research Focus | |
| * **Digital clinical guidelines & automated monitoring** | |
| * Representation of clinical practice guidelines using FHIR and related standards | |
| * Automated assessment of guideline applicability and adherence on standardized clinical data (e.g., OMOP, FHIR) | |
| * ML for critical care & perioperative medicine | |
| * **Predictive models for critical clinical events (e.g., sepsis, organ dysfunction, postoperative complications)** | |
| * Robust modelling across heterogeneous ICU environments | |
| * Clinical decision support & usability | |
| * Designing context-aware decision support that fits into existing workflows | |
