PKU-ICL-WuLab
PKU-ICL-WuLab is a Natural Language Processing (NLP) research group in the Institute of Computational Linguistics, Department of Computational Intelligence, School of Computer Science, Peking University. Led by Prof. Yunfang Wu, the lab conducts cutting-edge research on Natural Language Processing, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Artificial Intelligence.
Our research focuses on advancing language understanding and generation through large foundation models, with particular interests in:
- Large Language Models (LLMs)
- In-Context Learning (ICL) and Prompt Learning
- Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs)
- Semantic Understanding and Text Generation
- Model Merging and Model Distillation
- Machine Translation and Grammatical Error Correction
- Question Answering and Question Generation
- Automated Essay Scoring and Readability Assessment
- AI for Education
The lab has led numerous national research projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and other major funding agencies. Our work has also received prestigious awards, including the National Science and Technology Progress Award and the Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award. The group has published extensively at premier AI and NLP venues such as ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, COLING, and AAAI, with recent research spanning in-context learning, prompt optimization, multimodal reasoning, model merging, model distillation, intelligent educational technologies, and language-centric AI.
PKU-ICL-WuLab is committed to advancing both the theoretical foundations and practical applications of language intelligence while fostering the next generation of AI and NLP researchers.
