# Dedicated Space for our Project 'Automated Student Attendance Sytem'
# Course: Design Laboratory

We are a team of 5 participating in a fun Computer Vision application project under Professor Subhadip Mukherjee. At IIT Kharagpur, or at any other institute that averages 100+ students per classroom, manual attendance is both time taking and unreliable. In our project, we aim to implement a robust yet light facial detection pipeline that can adapt to any classroom and any set of students without any retraining. Through pre-trained facial embeddings such as Google's FaceNet, we achieve pretty exciting results both in terms of accuracy as well as scalability.
