Change period to date filtering + quick download bases in range overlay.
Demo: https://huggingface.co/spaces/Symbiomatrix/malcolm-browser-period3
Alternative to #7.
Same change to date filtering from-to based on recent changes,
but now it will show the latest updated base within the date range and bases selected, rather than only a single latest updated date (when no bases are filtered). Still single entry per search.
Added an overlay of "which bases were updated", sorted by the most recent, to clarify why the model appears on multiple dates.
Clicking on the bases in the overlay will utilise the download link from recent changes, so it can be considered a full replacement for that subscreen.
Fixed a bug / behavioural quirk - instead of always picking v1 for the download as recent changes did, the overlay will now select the latest model for that base released within the time period;
for example billieeilish zit on 20/01 -> v3, 05/01 ->2.
Locons were all published on the same day so comparison seems to be confused and always point to v1, but no matter.
This quirk was apparently also backpatched in recent changes by the chatterbot even though I didn't ask, so I guess good job?
I kept the modal view unchanged on purpose, since it already contains everything, but the chatterbot tried to patch it at one point and might have botched up the code a bit.
Thank you for the effort. I have incorporated this to the browser! ;-)
I made two small changes: there was one style class written in chinese (?) so i changed it back to english, and lowered the opacity a bit for the new box (which is nice and slick!)
I am in a place where the internet is not that great and I saw that the samples load very slowly here so I added a new icon next to dark/light mode to toggle off/on the samples on the main page (samples still shown in the modal) and lowered the default per page to 30
cheers and thanks again for helping me improve the tool! :)

Hmm, I'm using tipsy (free jiminy is a fool and gepetto balks at text walls) so that doesn't exactly surprise me. But γ¦γ§γγγγγΉγ―γγΌγ«γγΌγ΅γ is in japanese (katakana = transliteration), meaning "uebu-kitto-sukurooru-baa-samu" or webkit scrollerbar thumb; I would expect chinese rather than japanese interjections from that model but who knows.
Okay. I did not regard nor prompt for the styling at all, I am functionally minded and the only aspects of pure aesthetics I care for in an interface are legibility and clarity.
Didn't even spot the difference alt tabbing between the screens till I reread what the style change exactly was. But it is an improvement, agreed.

Bug:
You appear to have two ghost models on 29/01, "emmawatsonlarge" and "gillianandersonlarge" (experimenting with rank?), but they're nowhere to be found on zbase - just the two versions on 28/01 and 04/02 (which are correctly listed on said dates). 29/01 exists and recent models shows them so I guess there's some lingering data fragment.
Good job, that sounds like a simple effective fix, and you still get the full image in modal view, or batch images through filtered repo dl. I'm all for it.
Think nothing of it, it's only fair; I cannot create good models, so I contribute a bit of code.
"emmawatsonlarge" and "gillianandersonlarge"
it checks for git log and i did upload those two models as test, i might need to add some exclude option but this is not a high prio for me right now :)
but yes, i did see that too
thanks again!
