Mars Republic is the open-source home for CORTEX / Layer 4: multi-agent work that does not count as done until it passes a check.
We are building that stack in public. The same founder also runs MossRiver, a kids sleepwear / baby clothing brand. Right now inventory is heavy and cash is tight — not turned around yet. We are using Cortex day to day to fight for survival (listen → edit → verify on the live site).

Small shops have always survived hard stretches by asking their people for help in the open. This is that kind of ask, with one new tool: AI Agents doing real, verifiable work for a pajama brand that is in trouble.
Thesis: I'm building Cortex / Layer 4 in public — multi-agent work that does not count as done until it passes a check — and using that same stack day to day for MossRiver, my kids sleepwear brand. Inventory is heavy. Cash is tight. Not turned around.
The only wins we will claim are what Agents actually ship and we can re-check live: inventory/sold-out corrections, clearance floors, VOC → page edits. No pre-announced miracle — an ongoing fight, with weekly updates.

Update from the real-world test bed behind this demo: MossRiver (the small pajama shop the agents run on) has a Halloween deadline. Tonight the agents repriced every Halloween style to the lowest price that still covers shipping and payment fees. They worked under a store-wide write lock, logged every change, and read each one back. The shop is still not out of the woods, and this is just the next step.
