Open Synapse Labs

Intelligence that amplifies humans. Not replaces them.

Open Synapse Labs builds efficient AI systems for local deployment on consumer hardware. Focus on practical utility, speed, and minimal resource requirements.

What we do

  • Local models β€” run without API keys or cloud, data stays on device
  • Efficient architectures β€” MoE and sparse systems for high performance at low VRAM usage
  • Adaptive training β€” fine-tune and adapt models for specific tasks
  • Practicality β€” minimal setup, maximum result

Why this matters

Most AI today is:

  • centralized and requires internet
  • expensive (API costs)
  • opaque in data handling

We provide an alternative: models that run on your GPU/CPU, send no data externally, and require no subscription.

How to contribute

We are open to contributors. No contracts or interviews needed β€” if the product is useful to you, improve it and use it yourself.

What we need:

  • Fine-tuning models (more data, longer context)
  • Inference optimization (quantization, caching)
  • CLI tools and integrations
  • Documentation and usage examples

How to join:

  1. Follow this invite link: Join Open Synapse Labs on Hugging Face
  2. New members get read access by default β€” you can view and download all models
  3. We promote active contributors to write access manually

> πŸ’‘ Include your GitHub and skills when reaching out β€” this speeds up promotion to write access.

Organic growth

We do not use paid advertising. Growth comes through:

  • Open repositories and reproducible results
  • Published benchmarks and comparisons
  • Developer community sharing experience

If a model was useful β€” tell others about it. This is the best support for the project.
