About your comment for Mistral V7 templates
Thanks for creating such a detailed yet easy to understand guide. God knows I'm in search of such a guide for more than a year.
In your document, you mentioned that 'I believe that Mistral v7-tekken is just another name for v7.'
However, when I compared 'Mistral V7' and 'Mistral V7-Tekken' side-by-side in SillyTavern, I noticed that the Instruct Sequences in the Instruct Template differ between the two. Normally, this section is collapsed by default, so you may not have noticed it previously. I just wanted to bring this to your attention.
It's frustrating because Mistral own documentation only discuss templates up to v3 Tekken.
I'm guessing that from 2025 and onward, they expect that everyone uses Chat Connection API, as the Jinja templates included inside the model take care of the syntax for you.

In your screenshots comparison, the tick box "Sequences as Stop String" is also different between the two versions.
