A full life-cycle of the sliding strip of a pantograph of a typical trainset is depcited in the indicator monitoring user interface. By applying a rule-set on the given series data stream it is possible to trigger alarms, maintenance notifications and even maintenance tasks. As the degradation is mainly linear, predition of the ocurrenece of a failure-mode in observation can be e.g. applyed by using linear regression.
Disclaimer: The given graph and implementation is generated and running on a development system and not yet used in operation; it helps to demonstrate the feasability of the industrialized condition monitoring appraoch.
