Apply for a GPU community grant: Academic project
Hi, I would like to apply for a GPU grant for a demo of the paper Improving Inference-Time Optimisation for Vocal Effects Style Transfer with a Gaussian Prior. It's an online app that lets users upload a solo vocal mix they like as a reference. The programme then processes a given raw vocal recording into the style of that reference mix. Beyond academic value, the app lowers the barrier to entry for beginners in music post-production, making music production easier.
We believe this work would be more impactful if we leveraged a GPU to accelerate inference, thus making it more accessible to ordinary users. So far, the programme needs roughly 1k steps to achieve good style transfer quality, which is extremely slow on CPU.
