demo not working

When I run the minimal_demo.py script I keep getting an assertion of "The mesh has more than 50,000 faces, which is not supported." although I use the shipped example picture.
I resolved the issue by increasing the number of faces. However, if you choose to do so, you might need a high-performance PC to handle the additional computational requirements.
