The Heilbronn Institute of Technology (HIT) integrates education, applied research, and technology transfer. By bridging academic research with real-world industrial projects and publicly funded initiatives, we provide a practice-oriented environment that showcases the research capabilities of Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences. Our interdisciplinary team consists of professors and researchers from diverse engineering disciplines working across Bachelor, Master, and post-graduate levels.

Center for Robotics (HIT-Robotics)

The Center for Robotics is an interdisciplinary research center dedicated to advancing robotics, artificial intelligence, and automation technology.

Our core areas of focus include:

• Embodied AI & VLM/VLA Models: Fine-tuning and deploying Vision-Language-Action models for real-world robotic control and decision-making.
• Collaborative Robotics (Cobots): Safe human-robot interaction and adaptive task execution.
• Industrial Robotics: Modern manufacturing, programming, and automated pick-and-place applications.

Students and researchers work side-by-side in state-of-the-art laboratories, developing open-source models, datasets, and end-to-end robotics applications.
