OpenMind is building open-source operating system for robots. We support Unitree's G1 Humanoid, Go2 Quadruped, TurtleBot4, Ubtech Yanshee(Mini Humanoid), more to come. But guess what, you can integrate your own form factor with OM1.

| Title | Description |
|---|---|
| Simple, modular architecture | Human-intelligible architecture with natural language data buses. |
| All Python | Independent modules that are easy to maintain, debug, and extend. |
| Easy to add new data inputs | Seamlessly integrate new data without major changes to the existing architecture. |
| Easy to support new hardware | Via plugins for API endpoints and specific robot hardware. |
| Supports Standard Middleware | ROS2, Zenoh, and CycloneDDS |
| Includes a simple web-based debug display | Watch the system work (WebSim at http://localhost:8000). |
| Preconfigured endpoints | Voice-to-Speech, OpenAI's gpt-4o, DeepSeek, and multiple VLMs. |
OpenMind exists to build the software foundation for intelligent, collaborative machines. Our team believes that robots shouldn’t just move, but understand, adapt, and work together. Our goal is to unlock machine agency at scale. We’re building open systems, shared intelligence, and decentralized coordination.
A connected ecosystem of intelligent machines that can think, learn, and collaborate - across platforms, manufacturers, and missions.
At OpenMind, we are building FABRIC, a decentralized coordination layer for the hybrid world. FABRIC allows robots and humans to work together, based on a shared, immutable consensus about the physical world, events, identity, and capabilities. As we start to ship learning humanoids to schools and homes, FABRIC builds trust and helps humans and machines cooperate. FABRIC provides: o A way for robots to navigate and understand the physical world o Cross-platform (robot/human) proof of physical location o Tooling to build insurance, financial, logistics, and skill markets onto a shared, trusted reality
