This PR improves the model card by:
- Adding the
pipeline_tag: text-classificationto the metadata, which helps users discover the model on the Hugging Face Hub under this tag. - Updating the main paper link to point to the official Hugging Face paper page: BarcodeMamba+: Advancing State-Space Models for Fungal Biodiversity Research.
- Expanding the model's introductory description based on the paper's abstract for better context.
- Adding a direct link to the GitHub repository for easy access to the code.

This repo is for BarcodeMamba, our original paper that adapts state-space models to COI (animal) barcodes.
We recently put a preprint on arXiV for follow-up work, BarcodeMamba+ that evolves the architecture to support ITS (fungal) DNA barcodes. I suspect that this PR has been triggered by that preprint's release and has matched BarcodeMamba+ to BarcodeMamba.
While these are two separate works described in two separate papers, we had intended to maintain the code in the same GitHub repository (referenced by both papers).
It is likely that we will also update this Hugging Face page to reflect the new work in the coming weeks, but it will be done differently than what this PR proposes. This PR proposes to replace BarcodeMamba with BarcodeMamba+ but they are two distinct works; one does not replace the other.
