| # ComicApp bubble/text detector (mirror) | |
| Byte-for-byte mirror of [`ogkalu/comic-text-and-bubble-detector`](https://huggingface.co/ogkalu/comic-text-and-bubble-detector) | |
| → `detector.onnx`. All credit to the original author; Apache-2.0 is retained. | |

| ## Why a mirror exists | |
| ComicApp fetched this from upstream `resolve/main` — a **mutable branch**. A | |
| re-upload there changes the model under every running install. ComicApp pins a | |
| sha256 for every model it downloads, so such a change would now be caught rather | |
| than silently applied — but a pin can only *detect* a change, not undo one: once | |
| upstream moves, the pinned bytes are no longer obtainable from anywhere. | |
| Mirroring is what makes the artifact durable. This copy is uploaded once and | |
| never rewritten. To publish different weights we publish a **new file**, so a | |
| pinned install can never be surprised. | |
| Same reasoning as ComicApp's other mirrors — see the `comicbox` account. | |
