I think more talking with you. Like agreeing with your premise, and wondering what the prompt they used to generate that trash was, pondering how useful it would be for engagement bait though, and how the world we're living in is just going to become worse and worse and worse as these uses become more the primary purpose of the models companies are developing. Things are about to get so fucking dumb and it's so fucking depressing. Like, all these cool models, and the ways of utilizing them, all these complicated networks of information..... And it's just going to be the same old dumb shit exponented. Advertising is going to FUCK the next generation over hardcore in ways we can't possibly hope to imagine as increasingly complicated models are trained more and more on how to really push the metrics advertising was trying to use in new horrifying directions so McDonalds can make sure they still have a customer base in 20 years. I'm terrified of the number of "custom models" that will be come up with and served as "educational tools". I can't wait for the new K12 Military Education Track models sponsored by Ratheon and Palantir. The new Lockheed Martin "Ballistics for Babies" PRE-K education model. God fuck there's no hope for the future and I just fucking hate it here, somebody please get me off.
I wonder if that's why "AI" (LLMs in this scenario, because what the actual fuck is intelligence anyways? Reducing entropy with minimal resources? Problem solving? Adaptability? Are LLMs actually imlementing any of these or just creating tokens in a way that makes it look like they are because of the level of complexity of the network, which, duh. ,given the size of the datasets they're training on. Is intelligence a useful concept even? Is it a useful thing to talk about things in terms of? No, I don't think so and I always reference this paper that lives in my thoughts every single day: https://scholarworks.calstate.edu/downloads/dv13zw901 to back that up) is increasingly used to communicate sentiments.... Anyways I can't seem to get a complete thought out with out going on a full tangent in parenthesis, I'm going to go jump in the lake, and lay in the grass staring at the sky and the animals while I still can, see you in our inevitable hellscape of a future.
tl;dr: Nah, not really, I think agreeing ish with you, and ranting and raving, honestly I want to try shitposting more on huggingface.
@NILKNARFGonzo
not talkin' to me right? @igardner
You're getting too caught up in the technicals. Like yeah, python is a great prototyping language, and it's easier to make things in, and for more people to read what's going on. It's structured closer to natural language in how it appears. You're sitting talking about memory leaks etc. etc. Well then fucking rewrite it in C++ instead of AI generating a bullshitty... Like did you include in the prompt generation "Yeah, make me sound like the most pompus elitist asshole with no conception of how the real world works"? I mean, I guess it would be good for engagement, it got me. Anyways, why does python have memory leaks and such? I don't know the details about the intricate inner-workings of python, nor C++, I can read and write it, usually. Troubleshoot it consistently.....
Anyways, I think you just called them calling out that you likely used AI to generate your meh comment that doesn't actually suggest anything useful and just kinda oozes arrogance so much that I can't imagine it wasn't generated . I think you are calling it a "meltdown"? Did I fucking miss something?(I mean, there's chance you genuinely were one of the pompus assholes nobody really likes on stack overflow, and therefor the training datasets are so full of your bullshit that you're now cursed to forever be classified as "AI" generated. I forgot where I was going with this.)
Anyways, please send your prompt, I think it would be great for engagement baiting different coding sites.
How did I even get here anyways? Meh,
