deepTools MCP Service

This deployment package exposes selected deeptools functionality through an MCP-compatible server built with FastMCP.

Available Tools

• health_check
• list_modules
• list_symbols
• call_function
• create_instance
• compute_ratio
• smart_label
• convert_colormap

Local stdio usage

Use this mode for local MCP clients (for example Claude Desktop / CLI):

cd deepTools/mcp_output
python start_mcp.py

Or:

python mcp_plugin/main.py

HTTP usage (Docker / hosted)

Run with HTTP transport:

cd deepTools/mcp_output
MCP_TRANSPORT=http MCP_PORT=7860 python start_mcp.py

Client connection endpoint:

https://{host}/mcp

Docker deployment

Build and run:

./run_docker.sh

PowerShell:

./run_docker.ps1

The Docker entry point is:

python deepTools/mcp_output/start_mcp.py
