Public Upload Checklist for Ares

The Hugging Face Static Space can go on the public internet. Before uploading or pushing, check this list.

Safe to publish

• index.html static app
• README.md, ROADMAP.md, deployment docs
• ares_core/*.py source code
• configs/*.json architecture configs
• tiny sample data intentionally written for the repo
• Colab notebook without executed secret outputs

Do not publish unless intentional

• model checkpoints: *.pt, *.pth, *.ckpt, *.safetensors, *.bin, *.gguf
• training outputs: artifacts/, checkpoints/, runs/, wandb/
• databases: *.db, *.sqlite, *.sqlite3
• raw datasets or private notes
• Google Drive links to private folders
• Hugging Face tokens or API keys
• kaggle.json, .env, .netrc, private SSH keys
• notebook outputs that contain tokens, paths, or private data snippets

Recommended artifact locations

• Keep training artifacts in Google Drive while experimenting.
• Publish checkpoints to a separate Hugging Face model repo only when you choose.
• Keep the Static Space repo mostly code/docs/UI.

Last command before upload

From the project folder:

find . -maxdepth 3 -type f | sort

Look for accidental checkpoints, databases, secrets, and raw data before pushing.
